RESERVATIONS and BOOKING CONDITIONS
RESIDENTS :- Please complete our
booking form and return it to us with a £50.00 per person, per course,
deposit.
If you need to arrive on a date before the course starts or leave on a
different day to the last day of the course, we can arrange B&B for you
locally if rooms at The Grand are unavailable. If an apartment that we have
been using is available, it
might be possible to stay but an extra £ 25.00 per night would be charged
for bed only.
DAY STUDENTS :- Please complete
our booking form and return it to us with the deposit of £35.00 per person,
per course.
Your booking will be confirmed by email whenever possible, alternatively by
post. You will be invoiced for the balance eight weeks prior to the course
start date and the balance must be received six weeks before your course
commences. Failure to send the balance within six weeks of the course start
date will result in you losing your place and forfeiting your deposit. Your
place would then be offered to another student on our waiting list. Please
do not delay when sending your balance.
Note that balances and deposits are non-refundable in the event of our
failure in being able to re-let your place, particularly at short notice. It
is strongly recommended that you consider Cancellation Insurance in the
event of an illness or for any other unforeseen reason - Please see below
for cancellation insurance information.
We are unable to accept any Credit / Debit cards, sorry !
Cheque payments are to be made payable
to Mrs S. French, NOT Ershamstar.
These courses are operated on a non profit basis and are not subject to VAT.
PAYPAL PAYMENTS.
We are now able to accept payment for your Ershamstar course using PayPal. We acknowledge that these days many people have access to a PayPal account, therefore, we have set up our own Ershamstar PayPal Bank account that can receive payments from you. If you have your own PayPal account simply load up PayPal (www.paypal.co.uk) on your computer and log in to your account. Click the tab 'Send Money', on that page, In the 'To' box enter our email address i.e ershamstar@googlemail.com and in the 'Amount' box enter the amount that you are sending. Ensure that the currency drop down box is set to 'GBP - British Pounds' . Click 'Services' on the 'Personal tab' then tick the box 'Gift', click 'Continue'. You will then be asked to confirm your payment, and that's it.
It is very inportant that the PayPal payment is sent as a gift because payments received in this way receive no charges from PayPal, if gift is not selected PayPal will charge a 3.54% fee.
PayPal payments are great for people who have their own PayPal accounts set up with a credit card and are therefore able to conveniently spread their payments over a period of time.
If you would like to set up a PayPal account for yourself, you need to visit the PayPal website on www.paypal.co.uk and select 'Sign Up' follow the instructions and away you go. PayPal is very secure and is a convenient way of paying for an increasingly varied range of goods and services via the internet.
There are a number of companies offering cancellation insurance, however, in the past we have successfully used the Cancellation Services of a company known as Guest First. They specialise in underwriting insurance policies for the travel and holiday industries. If you have no choice but to cancel your booking for reasons covered by the policy, Guest First holiday protection will refund your deposit or balance if this has been paid. You can apply for course cancellation insurance directly at www.guestfirst.co.uk
Basically their cancellation policies cover the following eventualities :-
Death, illness, injury or redundancy
Summons for Jury Service or court witness
Your home becoming uninhabitable
Also protection is given in the event of a close relative suffering a severe illness, death, or accidental injury.
Premium Costs :-
The premium cost will vary according to your age and the cost and length of course duration, but generally policies are available for a premium of just £10.00 to £20.00, but you will have to log on to Guest First to obtain an accurate quote.
In our opinion this is a small price to pay for 100% peace of mind.
